There are many screen capturing tools. How is Voila unique from the rest?

Voila is the first tool that offers complete freedom to capture any shape of your choice like Circular, Polygonal, Triangular or a Freehand capture. Apart from these, you have a Menu Capture, Fullscreen Capture, Object Capture, Rectangular Capture and a Timed Capture as well. You can capture the Dock, snap a whole webpage, regions of webpage or DOM elements.

The ability to have multiple screen capture options, along with the capability to use them in a variety of combinations with a good blend of Annotations and Special Effects, makes Voila very unique and different from the rest of the tools out in the market.

What features does Voila have?

Voila has a wide array of options to capture snaps from a simple full screen to capturing different shapes, freehand, objects, menu, scrolling page and from iSight as well. Snaps of entire webpages can be captured by importing the URL or by typing it within the tool. Multiple regions or multiple elements within the webpage can be captured simultaneously. Users can also capture snaps from the iSight or from an attached WebCam as well.

Capture the way you decide

Circular, Polygon or Freehand, Voila lets you capture these shapes simultaneously. What more, you can rotate, resize, switch between captures or undo a selection before capturing. Voila can also capture menus, objects, fullscreen or timed captures.

Snap from iSight and webcams

Capture from your Mac's built-in iSight camera or any third party Web cams attached to your Mac. Take a single snap or multiple snaps and add fun elements to it.

Browse and snap webpages

Type the URL in the built-in Voila browser and snap the complete web page or multiple areas within the current page. Snap the current Safari page with a click or import the web address to snap without leaving your browser!

Save time with multiple capture

A unique feature of Voila that lets you capture multiple screenshots simultaneously. Select different portions of the screen; adjust, rotate or undo a selection; snap simultaneously and save time.

Snap multiple DOM elements

Browse any web page using the built-in browser and capture the DOM elements. Voila allows you to select more than one DOM element at a time within a web page and snap all of them simultaneously.

Customize capture shortcuts

Use global keyboard shortcuts to capture fullscreen, area, window, web page, menu and selection captures. Use 'Preferences' to change the keyboard shortcuts as per your requirements.

Blur sensitive information

We care your privacy! Be it your personal information or that confidential pricing detail in your contract, Blur tool lets you aesthetically hide any portion on your image.

Resize, Rotate and Crop

Crop to retain the relevant portion or scale down the image. Use the different shapes, rotate and resize to remove the unwanted portions. Alternately, choose Freehand option and take complete control over the crop.

Edges, Skew and Filter

With various Filters and Edges options, image improvisation becomes a child's play. Adding some edges and skew could give the images a cool look. Adjust image properties, add filters for a perfect show off!

Vector Annotations

Voila saves all your snaps in a central image Library and helps you retrieve your creative works at a later date. If you want to group snaps which are alike, simply create custom collections and drag images into them.

Tag and Describe

Voila lets you add metadata to your snaps. Add titles, relevant tags and describe the information for each of the snaps. Enjoy the freedom to edit or update the metadata associated with your snap at any time.

Smart Collections

Voila's Smart Collection feature lets you tidy up your images by arranging them under various categories. Use the predefined folders or apply rules and let the images automatically fall into the appropriate collection.

Instant Sharing

Mail and iPhoto

Set your preferences to share images through Apple Mail or Microsoft® Entourage. Select the images and click the Mail icon to send automatically, or drag the images onto the mail client. You can also export your images to iPhoto.

FTP and Flickr

Voila swiftly uploads your images to the FTP servers. If you are a fan of Flickr and maintain an account, then publishing your images to Flickr is super simple! You can select the image and upload it to your private album or public pool, all with a single click.

Print

In this e-age sometimes you may have to send the hard copies of your project works, proposals or creative works to your clients for review or approval. If you have a printer connected to your Mac, select the image and print as many copies as you like.
