Feb. 27, 2010 - I've been using VIPRE for over a year on all my personally owned computers with great results. This morning my corporate workstation (that uses Sophos) became infected with the PC Defender 2010 malware apparently through an email I'd received. Since company restrictions prevent me from accessing Task Manager, and Safe Mode I requested help from our IT dept. However, before they ever contacted me I was able to get a Command window open before the malware closed all other windows, and run your VIPRE PC Rescue executable. Voila, malware gone. Feb. 19, 2010 - After nearly a year of suffering with sluggish PC & laptop, I took my daughter's advice and considered the problem stemming from my installed Norton Software. I heard of the VIPRE antivirus one night on HSN. I looked up the name on the internet and was very pleased to find a Valentine Special running! I purchased the download, uninstalled the Norton and installed VIPRE. OMG - my laptop is back to running as it was when I orginally purchased it a couple weeks ago.
