Automatic backup
Just one click! The program creates backups fully automatically without the need for complicated settings.
Simply connect an external hard drive to your notebook or PC, start the program and activate the automatic backup feature. All of your data will be backed up at regular intervals according to a schedule that can be adjusted individually.
Efficient & permanent
When you launch the program for the first time, it runs a full backup of your PC. Subsequent backups will only save data that has been changed. This way, not only can your entire system be restored, but also older file versions or files that were deleted altogether.

Manual backup
It's up to you! MAGIX PC Backup MX also allows you to manually back up data ranging from single files to the entire system, depending on your needs. Depending on the circumstances your data is backed up and can be restored.
Drive backup
With this rescue package, you can back up individual files or folders, as well as entire drives like your system drive, for example. By backing up the drive on which your system is installed, you can restore the system in an emergency situation without having to set it up again.

Simply enter the name of the file or folder you are searching for and the program will display matching files, including different backup dates and versions. With scheduled backups you can create complete backups of individual data or of your entire system at specified intervals. In addition PC Backup MX offers you the chance to monitor selected files or folders and to back them up locally on an external hard drive or online on the MAGIX WebDisk. Included with the program is 2 GB storage space on the MAGIX WebDisk, which can be expanded at any time.
Furthermore the WebDisk allows you worldwide access to your files. Work wherever you want! For example access files on holiday using a Smartphone or any computer with an internet connection.
Back up strategy
The program's automatic backup feature is based on the unique MAGIX backup strategy which combines different backup types:
During the first backup, all selected data on your computer is backed up. To save time and space on your storage medium (we recommend using an external hard drive), subsequent backups only save changes, i.e. the program only saves files that have have been changed or added since the last backup session. The program only saves files which have been changed or added since the last backup.
After the first full backup, the program only creates so-called incremental backups. Using the cleaning assistant, they can be combined into incremental backups at regular intervals to save space.
Tidy up backups
Reclaim memory!
Consolidate your existing backups with just one click and reclaim some space on your back up medium. This means that the last data save will remain intact. Save yourself from having to make and delete lots of individual backups. Trust MAGIX's back up strategy and always keep an overview.
Useful extras
Password protection
With this function you can assign a password of your choice to every backup. This way, your backups will be protected from unauthorized access.
For emergencies
Create a boot medium such as a bootable disc or USB stick to restore your system after a PC crash, for example. The previously created backup of the drive can be restored using this boot medium.
File saver
Did you delete files from your Windows recycle bin by accident, and would like to restore them? You can try it with this function which reconstructs files that have been deleted using the Windows standard method.
