Why is My Computer Slow?
Hello Friend,
Has your PC become as slow as a Snail and you don’t know what to do??
Every social function I go to as soon as I mention am in the Software industry the most common question I get is “My Computer has become Very Slow, What can I do ???”
Well here is a list of the Top most Common Problems that causes your computer to Slow Down.  The good news is that 90% of the time this problem can be fixed at a small cost. We have given our recommendations, but occasionally it may just be time to invest on a new computer. See if you can identify with any of the following:
Windows Vista on an older computer
Vista operating system is very resource demanding and if you have a computer that isn’t pretty quick this will cause problems. Especially on laptops as they are less powerful than most desktop computers. There isn’t really much to do about this, you’ll just have to live with it or alternatively if you are desperate go back to XP.
Antivirus Hogs Resources
Antivirus software is often a big, big resource user and can slow down your computer. Try to either turn off some functionality of the antivirus software. For example, I run my Antivirus without automatic updates and without continually scanning my computer. Instead I download the updates about once a week and run the computer scanning during nights.

Hard disk is fragmented
If your hard disk is filled up and you haven’t defragmented it in a long time it will take time for the computer to locate documents and software when it needs to. You will then need to defragment your hard disk. The best tool for this is PerfectDisk more about it here…
Too large Hard Disk Segments.
On new hard drives for 200 GB and upwards you should normally partition them into smaller partitions. This will speed up the time it takes to access stuff on your hard disk. The best solution for this is Partition Manager read more….
Too Much Old Junk Software
